Recent retriever successes

Judy Hunt's lovely flatboat retriever, Roxy  was successful in completing her WC (working certificate) last weekend. She had to retrieve two ducks on land and two on water and did this successfully....yay Roxy!!!!  It is so nice to hear this kind of news as it proves that the dog can do what it was bred to do.  Wonderful.

And Judy's other flatboat, Kona, now has her SHDCh. title as well.

Sarah's wonderful flatboat, Kaleb, won first place in the Veteran's conformation at the specialty.  At 10 1/2 he is still handsome and fit!  And rarin' to go all the time.

Summer updates

It's been a whirlwind of a summer so far, with our members competing in agility, herding, scent hurdle, conformation, obedience, and rally obedience, and doing very well.
In agility, Sylvia reports that Julie, Sunday, in the absolute stifling heat, had fantastic performances.
She got her Novice Standard Agility Title and also got high score in Group 6, trial 3 JWW and won the cash prize donated by Seransil Standard Poodles.

Our scent hurdle team, Due South, managed to stay afloat with Jagged, Drummer, Betty, Lupine and Ryder doing some great runs.  We continued the roll at EKKOC on Saturday with Drummer,
Betty, Jagged, Token, and Ryder.  Our goal was to complete Ryder's SHDCh. and we did that, but came away with a bonus as Jagged and Betty reached their SHDX titles as well!!!  Very cool.

In Rally obedience, Shar and Ryder picked up two more double Q's towards their RAE VI title, and Nicole and Bailey were HIC in Advanced A rally with 96, and Sophie qualified in 4th place with 99 in Advanced B and 3rd place with 98 in Excellent B. Joan and Dani picked up a third place in Novice A rally with 93.

In the obedience ring,  Judi and Castle got one leg towards the CD title, and Judi and Drummer completed the PCD title.  Nicole and Bailey qualified in the Novice A ring as well.
Castle picked up another point in the conformation ring by going winner's dog. One to go!

A reminder that we have a demo to do at Pioneer Lodge this Saturday, July 21st.  We will meet at the lodge at 1:00 to try to form teams.

See you then.  Safe trip.  Happy heeling.

We were on our way!!! Beckett was the co-pilot.
We were given the most wonderful spot right on the asphalt across from the rally and obedience tent.

Lots of room on the grass for the puppy pens, too.
                                                                   SHDCh
                                                                   All set

                                                             Chilling on site

I would recommend this show to anyone who wants to attend a well-organized event run by
enthusiastic, encouraging members.  What a great group!!! Thanks EKKOC for another
terrific show!
